The MumsClub Mumpreneurs out in force at Mothercare...
It was Easter Bank holiday weekend, the sun was shining and mothers with children in tow were headed for the city centre. MumsClub; the business club for mums were in town to launch the free magazine for entrepreneurial mums at Mothercare on Corporation Street.
The Business Mum’s Journal has arrived at Mothercare...
Women from across the Midlands came along; both women with questions on starting up their own new business or volunteer Businessmums sporting MumsClub t-shirts handing out free copies to mums and balloons to the children, happily offering start up business and PR advice wherever needed. The MumsClub Mumpreneurs had given up their Easter Saturday, taken time away from their families to be on hand to talk to as many mums as was required.
Caroline New from Kings Heath is an artist and designer artist and designer; she came along to meet the team and left with a copy of the magazine as well as some valuable tips and ideas to boost business along. Caroline said;
“The main thing that I took away from today was inspiration to make my business work. Meeting other mums who were all so enthusiastic and supportive was really inspiring and I am glad that I am now part of MumsClub.”
The day was a great success, Jane Hopkins, creator of both the MumsClub website and The Business Mum’s Journal said,
“Today was all about reaching more women with children, we’re in a recession - a time when families need to know their options regarding additional incomes and ways to bring more money into their households. The information is out there and readily available; you just need to now where to go and where to click! The Business Mum’s Journal is free and now available throughout the Midlands Mothercare stores and is packed with tips, ideas, inspiration and links to websites that will help anyone start up and build a business around the children”.
More MumsClub ‘Mumpreneur’ events are planned across the Midlands over the summer months to reach even more women; all details will be posted here on mumsclub. In the meantime a warm welcome awaits any mum in the online forums which is already home to over 700 networking business mums. Good advice is waiting and it’s all free.
