A Double award for mumsclubber Keira? February 2010
Keira O'Mara, mum and inventor of the Mamascarf, a breastfeeding scarf allowing discreet and comfortable breastfeeding has won an award, the SMARTA 100 Business award, judged by a panel including Dragon Deborah Meaden and is a finalist for “Outstanding New Product” from leading women’s organisation, Women on Their Way, which is run by ex Apprentice star Jo Cameron. The winner for this award will be revealed in a ceremony at Villa Park on 19th March.
Mamascarf has received a huge amount of media coverage in the last 12 months, being featured on This Morning, Working Lunch, GMTV and SKY News. It has also recently been awarded "My Best Buy" status from I'm Pregnant magazine, national parenting title, allowing the logo to be used on their packaging and marketing material.
Celebrities who are fans of the breastfeeding scarf include Melanie C who said "I was very self conscious about needing to breast feed in public places but Mamascarf is simple, stylish and the perfect solution".Leah Wood is also a fan and said "I love my Mamascarf, it's great! I use it virtually all of the time".
